Alert Suspicious Card Readers In The Area

Please be aware of suspicious card readers if you use ATM's that require you to swipe your card to gain lobby access to them. If the card reader used to gain access to the ATM looks suspicious, do not use it. No PSCU cards have been compromised, but we want to help everyone maintain the highest level of security by passing along any information and alerts as we receive them. Pass this important information on to friends, family, and co-workers.

Beware Of Solicitations

Please be wary of any phone call offering to lower your credit card interest rate. Puget Sound CU representatives will ALWAYS tell you their name and tell you that they are calling from Puget Sound CU. They will NEVER ask you to provide any personal information, such as account number, social security number or even address. Ask questions if there is any suspicion, or hang up and call us.

Help Us Deter Wire Fraud On Heloc Accounts

By using public records some fraudsters are able to gain enough personal information about you to initiate a wire transfer at a financial institution. HELOC accounts tend to have higher balances of available funds than credit cards or transaction accounts and are therefore often targeted. In some instances fraudsters are even able to forward telephone calls to and from a member’s actual phone number so that the called in wire request seems legitimate. How can you help protect your account? Come into the Credit Union and add a codeword to your account that only you will know so that we can verify your identity each and every time you call in to talk to us about any of your accounts. All phoned in wire transfers will REQUIRE a codeword on the account before they can be completed, please add a codeword to your account today to help us ensure the safety of your account.
